I love the soft, ethereal feel of the snow here! And good for you for moving out of your comfort zone - that can be hard to do.

As *WingedHippocampus said, the eyeshape should change in profile; I also recommend moving the eye back slightly. Touch your own face; you will usually find that the bridge of the nose protrudes surprisingly far ahead of the eyes. The ear should also be lower; run a finger from the corner of your eye to your ear, and you will find that the root is almost even with the eye, just slightly lower. I also recommend trying to get a firmer handle on where his hair grows from; it should be further behind his ear. Broadening the blond's shoulders will help with proportion; basically, unless a character is very thin, twice the width of the head is a good starting point. ^^

I really like the way you swept the gray through the dark-haired one's hair; you show a good feel for the presence of the skull, which can be hard to achieve. ^^ I also like the way their arms cross over each other, as it gives a closed, intimate look (though I would recommend having Black's hand on Blond's shoulder to cement that). The blending of light and shadow in the eyes is beautiful - particularly in the green - and I like the blond's almost cheerful expression. Overall, I think you're off to a great start!
